Hello SurveyMonkey...goodbye LimeSurvey!
You may recall that we announced back in October that Royal Roads is adopting SurveyMonkey as its new survey tool and decommissioning the existing LimeSurvey platform. We are now using SurveyMonkey for course evaluations (with thanks to the many program staff who have already made this transition!) and will soon be using it for all of our internal institutional applications.
If you don't already have a SurveyMonkey account, but think you should so that you can continue to administer course evaluations or existing surveys, please contact the Help Desk as soon as possible.
We’ve had more demand than expected to make SurveyMonkey available for a wide range of users, and we’ll be announcing that the service is ‘open for business’ very soon!
In the meantime, IT Services is working on an orderly shut-down for LimeSurvey. IT Services will be switching LimeSurvey to ‘read only’ mode in late January or early February. Once this happens, you will not be able to create new surveys in LimeSurvey. You will still be able to access your survey data for a few weeks until LimeSurvey is completely shut down. If you have any data on the LimeSurvey platform, now is the time to save it in a different secure location.
