Identity and accounting CPD

Associate faculty member Kathie Ross presented a paper at the Emerging Scholars Colloquium as part of the Critical Perspectives on Accounting Conference (CPA) held at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Ontario July 6, 2014. As noted on the conference website, "the CPA conference is an established forum for critical, radical and other interdisciplinary approaches to the study of accounting phenomena. It brings together scholars in the fields of accounting, management and the broader social science disciplines who are concerned to illustrate how deeply implicated accounting is in the allocative, social, and ecological problems of our times. As well, it attracts practitioners, policy makers and activists who are interested in these pressing issues and committed to social change."

Ross's presentation relates to her post-graduate research exploring the interaction between continuing professional development and identity for women professional accountants in Canada.
