The Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) conference held in St. John’s this June provided, for the first time, a special event related to current issues regarding the status of the amalgamation of the three legacy designations (CA, CGA, CMA).  Associate faculty member Kathie Ross presented her paper “Where do we fit in?!: Liminality in the CPA” on a panel that included representatives of the new association.  A special issue of Accounting Perspectives highlighting papers from this special event is expected to be forthcoming later this year.
