The Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies (CTET) is pleased to announce a workshop opportunity for all core faculty, associate faculty and program staff around themes of intercultural learning: “Transformative Learning for Intercultural Understanding”. This workshop aims to develop intercultural teaching and learning competencies by sharing knowledge, successes and challenges, and engaging in lesson-building activities. Scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Centre for Dialogue, the workshop will also be livestreamed for participants unable to attend on campus. Review the full workshop description and registration information.

“Transformative Learning for Intercultural Understanding” was borne out of a series of formal and informal conversations with RRU faculty about their intercultural teaching successes and challenges, knowledge-sharing between faculty and CTET on intercultural learning themes, and collation of ideas and practices for achieving truly transformative learning for intercultural understanding.

The development and offering of “Transformative Learning for Intercultural Understanding” align with CTET’s broader commitment to develop and support campus-wide capacity for intercultural and global understanding.
