Introducing the Community of Caring Committee
We are delighted to introduce the members of the Community of Caring Committee. These individuals have all stepped forward to build engagement and raise funds for student success at Royal Roads University.
Please feel free to connect with any one of us if you would like to learn more about the Community of Caring Committee or fundraising at Royal Roads University. We’ll be on hand at Monday’s birthday celebration and would be happy to speak with you!
If you are interested in joining the committee or have any questions, please contact Hayley Bennett by email or at local 2561
Here are some of the reasons committee members have decided to be part of the campaign to build philanthropy on campus.
Julie Barlow - I believe in supporting projects that help create healthier, more resilient communities. I have been witness to the beauty of philanthropy – and the empowerment, the opportunity and the gratitude that a gift inspires. Giving connects like-minded people and supports the dreams of those who wish to change their lives – and better our shared world. For me, it’s not about “the big gift”, it’s about building community through shared values.
Karla Shearer - I chose to be on the campaign committee to assist in making a positive impact for staff and students. I believe in philanthropy and the need to nurture a culture of giving.
Jennifer Paulus - In my day to day role at RRU, I support students in their life.changing educational journey and I saw joining the Community of Caring Committee as another opportunity for me to contribute to their success.
Candace Perkins - We do amazing things at RRU and we put so much care into what we do. As one of our core values, caring for each other and our students is a distinguishing characteristic of our RRU community and of our success to date. I feel proud and privileged to be part of this community and to serve as a member of the Committee.
