The Boathouse has another new member! Jacky (Yuanyuan) Li has joined our International Contract Training (ICT) team as our seasonal cultural activities assistant (CAA). Jacky has the best job on campus this summer as she will be supporting all the site visits and activities that are part of the short-term, non-credit programs that we deliver to international student groups from around the world.

Jacky is no stranger to RRU. She has been working with our ICT team as a translator for two of our programs that have been custom designed and delivered to Chinese students.  In fact, Jacky used to work for Beifang Education Group (BEG), a long-standing educational partner to RRU and to whom we’ve been delivering our OSP (one semester program) and YLC (youth leadership camp) programs.

Jacky is highly skilled with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Teaching Certificate from Shandong Normal University in Jinan, China. She also has a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and Leadership from UVic. She’s worked for Porsche Motors in China as a training supervisor, and was an English teacher and teaching supervisor before coming to Canada and working for BEG.

Please give Jacky a warm RRU welcome next time you see her in the Boathouse or around campus, that is, when she's not out having a great time with our students! You can also reach her at extension 4118. Welcome Jacky!
