The Royal Roads University Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee is an advisory group consisting of employer and employee representatives working together to improve occupational health and safety in the workplace.  As JOHSC members, we meet regularly to identify hazards in the workplace, make recommendations to the executive committee and follow-up on safety issues.   In addition, we promote and participate in safety and health education and information sessions and we participate in inspections and incident investigations as required.

While our role is consultative, it is important that the entire RRU community work together for better workplace safety as this is the best path to reducing injury and illness at RRU.

Check out the HR website for more information, including a full listing of committee members and access to the monthly meeting minutes;
