The Kelly Outstanding Teaching Awards recognize core and associate faculty members who are representative of outstanding teaching at Royal Roads. Leading up to announcing the recipients in early October and the awards presentations at October 15th’s Campus Conversation, we will highlight each nominee (in alphabetical order) via a special profile on their teaching philosophy.

The nominee profiled this week is Finn Knutsen.

“Each day I enter a classroom with a belief that equal dignity and respect are the natural extensions of our common humanity.  I am ever mindful of the individual uniqueness that exists within our commonality: shaped by a unique helix of DNA and molded by individual common cultures transcending time through language. I seek common values, language and purpose to achieve overall success for everyone.”
