The Kelly Outstanding Teaching Awards recognize core and associate faculty members who are representative of outstanding teaching at Royal Roads. Leading up to announcing the recipients in early October and the awards presentations at October 15th’s Campus Conversation, we will highlight each nominee (in alphabetical order) via a special profile on their teaching philosophy.

The second nominee profiled is Rita Egizii.

"I believe teachers are enablers, facilitators and designers of learning. I embrace the diversity, knowledge and experience our learners bring into the classroom and encourage interaction, engagement and co-learning between, amongst and alongside one another in a collaborative learning environment."

The Kelly Outstanding Teaching Awards are open to all Royal Roads University faculty members who are actively engaged in teaching for-credit or non-credit courses at Royal Roads. A call for nominations is made early in each year to students, faculty and staff. Learn more about the awards and discover past recipients.
