Last chance: David Abram intensive retreat

Tess Wixted
Eco-philosopher and scholar David Abram will be leading an intensive retreat next weekend on Salt Spring Island. Don't miss this rare opportunity.

David Abram, cultural ecologist and wilderness philosopher, is the award-winning author of The Spell of the Sensuous and Becoming Animal: An Earthly Cosmology. Described as "revolutionary" by the Los Angeles Times, as “daring” and “truly original” by Science, David’s research and writing have helped catalyze the emergence of several new disciplines, including the burgeoning field of ecopsychology.

Join David Abram for Between the Human Animal and the Animate Earth: Falling Awake, an in residence retreat at Stowel Lake Farm on Salt Spring Island, May 29 - 31. Together, we'll stir the forgotten rapport between our creaturely senses and the sensuous terrain — making forays into the wild ecology of perception, and the elemental magic of language and storytelling — pooling our discoveries toward the aim of cultural metamorphosis.
