Leadership Studies welcomes Dr. Hartney
The School of Leadership Studies is pleased to announce our new faculty member Prof. Elizabeth Hartney, who will play a leading role in the MA-Leadership Health Specialization, as well as director of the Centre for Health Leadership and Research.
Dr. Hartney has a BSc and PhD in psychology, an interdisciplinary MSc in cognitive science and an MA in higher education. She is a registered psychologist here in B.C., and a chartered psychologist and associate fellow of the British Psychological Society. Over the past twenty years, she has worked in research, teaching, and clinical and community services. Most recently, she was the resident psychologist for the B.C. Ministry of Health. Fun facts: she lived in England until her late 20s and moved to Victoria in 1999, although her family has lived on Vancouver Island for generations. She and her husband have a ten year old son. Elizabeth is delighted to be joining Royal Roads and we, in turn, are delighted that she has joined us. Please help us to extend a warm welcome to our new colleague, Dr. Elizabeth Hartney.
