Renovation work at the library is progressing as planned.

Next week, renovations work will move into phase 4. As such, the library services team is preparing for the main front desk to be replaced.

Given the nature of this work, it will be necessary for the university to close the library building as well as library services from 5pm on Thursday July 16th through until to 9am on Monday July 20th.

Each phase of work is being carefully planned to mitigate the impact of renovations on library operations as well as services offered to students.  Please note that the library building continues to be an active construction zone and access to parts of the building will be affected as work progresses. Updates about this and other potential service interruptions will be circulated as needed.

Continued Closure of the Library Parking Lot

Parking lot #6, adjacent to the library (west side) continues to be closed to allow contractors access to the building with their vehicles and equipment.  The footpath connecting Hatley Castle and the library provides barrier-free access and an alternate shipping and receiving route. Library users and staff are encouraged to use general parking available in P3 (south of the Castle) or P7 (Mews).

Safety First!  Please watch for construction personnel and vehicles or equipment working in and around the library building.  As needed, signage will be posted to guide visitors and members of the RRU community around localized work sites.
