Life off the grid website launched

A new website showcasing the book, photography, video, and audio material produced for the off-grid public ethnography project by RRU faculty, alumni and students was unveiled this week.

Created by MAPC alumna Kate O'Rourke (with the assistance of MAIIC student Lindsay Stewart) and populated with photography and video from MAIIC alumnum Jonathan Taggart, as well as audio by MAIIC alumna Lindsay Vogan and writing by principal investigator Prof. Phillip Vannini, the website is meant to accompany the Routledge-published book Off the Grid: Re-Assembling Domestic Life. The website can be accessed by readers of the traditional printed version of the book, as well as by readers of the e-book- who will be able to access the web content directly from their e-readers through the book's hyperlinks. Now in the final stages of editing is also the project's film.

Stay tuned for updates and in the meantime visit
