Dr. Zoe MacLeod, Director of Professional and Continuing Studies, recently returned from presenting at the International Leadership Association's 4th Women and Leadership Conference Building Solutions, Harmony, and the Greater Good. The conference celebrates and explores the contributions women are making in today’s complex, rapidly changing, interdependent and often contentious world.

Conference leaders chose this year's theme in recognition that the building process often begins by finding harmony and balance within our own lives, which then extends to seeking solutions for our immediate communities and seeking peace for the planet. This year’s conference was held at 1440 Multiversity, a 75-acre campus near Santa Cruz and home to some of the oldest (1200 yrs) and tallest (300ft) redwoods in the state.

MacLeod presentated "Thriving in Higher Ed: Coaching Women Leaders," which focused on her research exploring the impact of professional coaching for women in academic leadership positions in higher education.
