MAIIC students return from residency in China

Eighteen Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication students recently returned home from a three-week overseas residency in Hangzhou, China. The students and their family members were hosted by the School of Foreign Languages at Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZGU). The purpose of the residency was to provide our students with a real-world overseas experience that allowed them to explore both intercultural and international contexts. Our students were partnered with students from the foreign language school to assist with translation throughout the residency. Congratulations to our MAIIC online students on completing their residency.

This year's residency was coordinated by core faculty member Dr. Zhenyi Li from the School of Communication and Culture. Without Dr. Li our students would not have had the opportunity to enter inside the Alibaba complex and other organizations. Also a special thank you to Dr. David Black for giving so much of his time to teach two MAIIC courses.
