Memorial service for a colleague
It was with deep sadness we received the news that Melody Andersson passed away suddenly on March 29. A long-time member of the Royal Roads community, Melody started at RRU in 2005 and worked in various program areas including what would eventually become the School of Communication and Culture. In 2009, she joined the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management as a program associate.
Melody touched many lives both within and outside of the university community. Her smile and genuine interest in helping others, especially her students, will be greatly missed by all. Among other things, she will be remembered for her kindness, wit and good nature. She made a difference to so many people.
A service for Melody will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at Oak Bay United Church, 1355 Mitchell Street in Victoria. The family welcomes any Royal Roads community members who may wish to attend the service.
Melody’s family is also asking you to consider sharing your memories and stories of her. These reflections will be posted on an online site in celebration of Melody’s life. Submissions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
[Editor's note: the flag on the castle will be lowered to half mast on Wednesday in remembrance of our colleague.]
