The International Contract Training (ICT) unit in Professional and Continuing Studies has the great pleasure of working with international students throughout the year, but the summer is our busiest season! We welcomed 51 high school girls from Urawa Akenohoshi to campus for a short program focused on strengthening their English language skills and learning more about Canadian culture. The students gave many compliments about their experience, with many references to the kindness and generosity of everyone they met, whether on campus or in the Greater Victoria area. For one of the closing ceremony activites, the students shared what they learned about Canada by singing along with Chris Hadfield and his brother as teacher Ryan Forbes played guitar to lead them through the song.

Again, our great thanks to everyone who help make these non-credit programs so successful that the memories the participants carry back will remain strong. We couldn't do it without you!
