Juan Navarro, an associate faculty member with the School of Business, has been chosen by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) to complete a research project for 2019. This international project aims to analyze six of the most important next generation trade and investments issues (NGeTI) which might contribute to deeper regional integration, sustained economic growth and rising living standards for all in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of this research, a delegation from the council visited Canada for a working meeting with Navarro, hosted here at Royal Roads. The business delegation was led by Mr. Motomu Takahashi, co-chair of ABAC's Regional Economic Integration Working Group.

ABAC was created by the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economic eaders in November 1995 to provide advice on the implementation of the Osaka Action Agenda and other specific business sector priorities, and to provide informaiton to APEC memebers about business-related issues.
