New art installation at the Mews

There’s been a "major" art installation at the Mews Conference Centre, and we’ve received so many comments on the painting, it was suggested we share it with the rest of the campus.

Prior to the winter break, the Admissions and Enrolment Services team arrived at the 4 Cats Art Studio on Bellamy Road with no idea of what lay ahead. A few hours later, after much laughter and millions of paint splatters (not all of which hit the canvas), we had created a playful work of art.

Of note, one of the curators, Gaylia Lassner, is a graduate of RRU’s Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management! And not only did we team build through tempera, but we each brought back a smaller, personal painting for our own. Altogether, it was a terrific experience and we now have a vivid reminder which we admire every day.

The painting hangs in the second floor hall between Admissions and Marketing, and we invite you to come by for a viewing next time you’re in the area.
