Orange Shirt Day is dedicated to recognizing and remembering the experiences of the generations of Indigenous children and youth who attended residential school in Canada and across North America. On September 30th, all members of the Royal Roads community are invited to participate in an Orange Shirt Day Ceremony from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at Sneq'wa e'lun. We also encourage everyone in the community to wear orange in support of the day. Orange shirts will be available for sale (as supplies last) in the library. T-shirts can also be purchased online through the Orange Shirt Day website.
