Outstanding Workshop Facilitation Award

It gives me great pleasure to announce the recipients of the Kelly Outstanding Teaching Awards, via a series of announcements in Crossroads over the next 4 weeks, starting this week with the Outstanding Workshop Facilitation Award.

Patricia Galaczy has been chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Workshop Facilitation Award.

A Continuing Studies facilitator, Patricia impressed the committee with her flexible use of multiple pedagogies in her teaching and her willingness to engage with students beyond the workshops she facilitates.

The award presentation will take place on Monday, October 31st at 10 a.m. during the Campus Conversation.

The committee would also like to acknowledge the other nominees in this category – Fiona Prince and Wendy Morton - for their superb contributions to teaching at Royal Roads. Members of the committee carefully reviewed all submissions and, without exception, were very impressed with the quality, depth and passionate commitment to teaching evident within each of the nominees’ materials, making the task of the Committee very challenging.

Subsequent weeks will see the announcement of the New Teacher Award, the Team Teaching Award, and the Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award.

Many thanks to Mickie Noble (Chair), David Stevenson, Mary-Anne Neal, Ryan Lee, Robert Mittelman, Kelvin Mkwate, Vivian Forssman, and Zhenyi Li for serving on this year’s Selection Committee.
