Our RRU community works together every day to maintain a respectful environment for all. The Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee would like to invite you to please join us in supporting Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, and learn more about how you can help online.

This event takes place in schools, workplaces and neighborhoods across the nation, with the goal to raise money to fund local anti-bullying programs. Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 when two students took action after seeing another student bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The students bought 50 pink t-shirts and encouraged their classmates to wear them to send a message of solidarity. Since then the idea has only grown each year and countries across the globe are now organizing anti-bullying fundraisers of their own, including Japan, New Zealand, China, Panama and many others.

In the spirit of our core values of caring and accountable, thank you for wearing pink on Feb. 26 to show your support for an end to bullying and harassment.
