Positive Space Network workshop

Positive Space Network workshop

As part of this year's Pride celebrations, RRU Proud will be offering a Postive Space Network workshop on Thursday, July 6 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Centre for Dialogue, 4th floor of the Learning and Innovation Centre. This is a low-risk interactive workshop that engages participants in discussion around language, culture and assumptions. The workshop will be co-facilitated by Gwen Hill, Dranna Andrews-Brown and John Stewart, and is open to students, faculty and staff. Participants will be introduced to skills and strategies that will help them contribute to the creation of safer and more inclusive environments for all members of the RRU community. At the end of the workshop, participants will be presented with the opportunity to join the Positive Space Network and become an RRU Proud Resource Person.

Other pride events include a BBQ and festival on July 5, participation in the Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday July 9, and an ongoing online photo contest. Just a reminder: RRU Proud t-shirts are available for purchase online or in-person through the RRU Bookstore.
