President's Annual Croquet Tournament
Yes, it is that time of year again when the Croquet Lawn will be in full “swing” for the President’s 10th Annual Staff Croquet Tournament commencing June 19, 2017.
The first week of play will be Monday, Tuesday & Friday. The second week will be Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. The tournament design will ensure each team has at least two games to play. We are seeking 12 teams of at least six players for the match and we will follow the same format as last year wherein the winners of the pools will advance to the second week. Team captains: Please submit your team name and players list by May 31, 2017 to firstname.lastname@example.org. Substitute players will be allowed, as long as they are not already members of another team.
In response to feedback, we will be asking that all teams remain with six players to ensure fairness.
For instances when your team members are unavailable, please contact email@example.com to ask for access to the “Spare List” to supplement your team.
There will be no official judge during play, as such we are requesting teams to familiarize themselves with the Croquet Rules of Play and officiate among themselves. Please keep in mind, we do not play on a full-size croquet pitch.
