The 2015-2016 Teaching with Technology projects have been focused on applying technology to team-based learning at Royal Roads. Jennifer Walinga, School of Communication and Culture, has led one of the projects, The role of technology in facilitating shared understanding/cooperation between team members.

This project explores the role of technology in facilitating shared understanding and cooperation between team members and evaluates transformative shifts by the teams from ‘coordination’ to ‘cooperation’. A literature review was developed and a range of qualitative methods were applied to investigate the role technology plays in facilitating cooperation. Recommendations also are being framed to inform the development of authentic team-based learning experiences and assessment practices.
