We are excited to announce we have officially opened registration for our new and innovative Royal Roads Design Thinking Challenge (RRDTC) that will tackle contemporary societal concerns in a way that goes beyond the standard approach to solving problems. Combining competition and creativity, the precise challenge will be revealed on February 19th by the Mayor of Victoria, BC.

In the first round up to 12 teams will be asked to explore the challenge that is being faced by municipalities all over the world. Working in their own city, teams will submit a video and "napkin pitch" outlining their preliminary idea by March 18th. All teams will then arrive here on campus on April 4th to receive feedback from the mayor and other stakeholders, participate in various events including further research and presentations, winding up with our final gala on April 7th.

Our event committee is chaired by Dean William Holmes: "We are extremely proud of the new direction this signature event is taking. I am excited about reuniting with our participating partner schools and welcoming some new participants."
