Royal Roads wins two 2014 Applied Arts Awards
Applied Arts Magazine has recognized Royal Roads University for our 2013 “Inspiring Connections Campaign” with two awards: “Inspiring Connections Microsite” in the Educational/Reference Category and the “Inspiring Connections Integrated Campaign” in the Integrated Campaign Category. Both are now featured on the Winner’s Gallery and will be highlighted in the annual awards edition of the magazine.
The campaign took networking to a new level by facilitating direct connections between prospective students and alumni via LinkedIn, email, phone or even in person. The campaign made clever use of print, digital and out of home media - including an interactive stunt execution at Pacific Centre Mall in Vancouver in which consumers were invited to connect personally with RRU alumna Morgan Westcott through a LinkedIn inspired interface. Selecting the 'Connect' button revealed Morgan herself, allowing prospects to have honest and open conversations in person about the RRU experience.
Other executions invited potential students to reach out to RRU alumni by phone or email, with a series of print advertisements, airport column wraps, transit shelter ads, interior Skytrain cards and elevator wraps, which featured their business cards along with copy encouraging the reader to contact any of them one-on-one. What resulted was an opportunity for people to get honest, un-filtered opinions from our alumni directly.
And now we’re excited to share details regarding our latest campaign in development, “Future You”.
