On June 16th Student Services hosted a BBQ to celebrate our diverse and inclusive community here at Royal Roads.

Student Services hosted a RRU Proud barbeque on June 16th and it was a huge success. The BBQ had the largest participation for a pride event to date.

The barbeque provided an opportunity to celebrate our diverse and inclusive community here at Royal Roads. The RRU Diversity Statement was displayed on each table and there was a creative integration of social activities and learning. Some of the fun activities included tug of war, kites, badminton, hula-hoops, Frisbees, trivia and more. Dr. Allan Cahoon, Asma Antoine and Roberta Mason were the speakers and many students, staff and faculty participated in the fun activities.

Royal Roads will participate in the Victoria Pride Parade on Sunday, July 5th.  Please contact Kyla McLeod if you would like to join us.

The next RRU Proud session will be held on June 24th at 12 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in LIC 411.

Please stay tuned for the Dialogue on Diversity event which will be held on September 23, 2015 in the Centre For Dialogue.
