RRU student named Waterloo Fire Rescue chief


Master of Arts degree in Disaster and Emergency Management student Richard Hepditch has been named the new chief of Waterloo's fire department. The department, founded in 1857, responds to 4,500 calls a year, about 60 per cent of which are emergency medical or first-response cases, with an average response time of five minutes.
