The tremendous spirit and fundraising achievement of Royal Roads’ United Way Campaign Committee is being honoured by nomination for two 2014 United Way Spirit Awards. The Royal Roads team is up for the United Way Workplace Volunteer Committee Award and the Naden Band Spirit of Excellence Award.

The team exceeded their fundraising goal this year, with 129 individual donors from the Royal Roads community contributing to $52,888.70 to the United Way of Greater Victoria. This year’s campaign also raised over $6,800 through events.

Thanks go to everyone for their participation – to those who donated and bought books and baking, to intrepid duck-racers, to online auction-shoppers – and congratulations to this year’s committee, Cecelia David, Cindy Goodman, Colleen McGonigal, Jeannie Drew, Kyla McLeod, Meghan Reusing, Shelley Langille, Stephen Long and the campaign leadership team:

  • Nancy L. Wilkin, Campaign Chair
