Save the date! NAOSH Week is almost here!

The Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee and Human Resources teams have planned an exciting week of events and activities for the RRU community.

Don’t miss out! There are lots of prizes to be won but above all - make YOUR health and safety a priority and join in on the fun.

Make Safety and Health a Habit Fair - change of venue location

The Health and Wellness fair will now be located in the LIC - Centre for Dialogue.

Scavenger Hunt for Staff and Faculty

On Monday, May 8 each department will receive a package with the scavenger hunt questionnaires for staff and faculty. If you need extra copies you can access it here. This fun and interactive activity for staff and faculty provides a way to increase your awareness about health & safety initiatives on our campus as well as within your own individual workspaces. Everyone who participates will be entered into the draw.

Submit your completed form (with any photos you may have taken) by 4:30 p.m. on May 10, 2017 to:

The winner will be announced in Crossroads on May 12, 2017 along with the answers to the questions.

Colouring Contest

As part of NAOSH week we are inviting Royal Roads staff and their kids to take part in a colouring contest. Print out the pictures (kids and/or adults) and colour it in as creatively as possible. 

Completed sheets should be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10 in person at the library to Paris Carr. Make sure to put the artist’s name, contact info and age (for children) on the back!

We will be posting all of the contest entries at the Wellness Fair – ‘Make Safety and Health a Habit’ on May 11 where people will be able to vote for the winners. There will be prizes for both children and adult submissions.

Also, if you are looking for something fun and informational to do on Saturday, May 13, attend the Annual Regional Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre. More information can be found here.
