SHS welcomes new faculty member Athena Maden


Dr. Athena Madan is the newest core facuty member in the School of Humanitarian Studies, teaching in the Justice Studies program. Dr. Madan joins us from the the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, University of Toronto. Her interests include: justice and equality; social justice and human rights; global health; good governance; and social and political forces underpinning health outcomes, among many others. Dr. Madan has significant field experience in humanitarian settings working with agencies such as Doctors Without Borders, Ashoka International and human rights non-governmental organizations.
