SHS welcomes two new program associates

Please join us in welcoming our two new program associates for the School of Humanitarian Studies, Rebecca Fairchild and Natasha de Klerk. Both are alumni from our BA Justice Studies program so we're especially pleased to have them with us.

For many years, Rebecca has held both paid and volunteer positions as an officer in the Canadian Forces Cadet Programme (Air Force Reserve) with a current rank of Captain. Among her many talents and accomplishments are her strong administrative capabilities and the admirable and ongoing mentoring of hundreds of young cadets and numerous youth instructors. Rebecca will mainly work with our BAJS programs. Oh, and one of her hobbies is reading provincial and federal Acts so we know she's keeping her hand in.

Natasha joins us once again after a number of years living up island, where she spent her most recent years at VIU in their Financial Aid & Awards department. After Natasha completed her BAJS program, she became an employee in a number of areas at the university, including a program associate in our school before it was a school! She's pleased to be back in Victoria, and we're glad she's chosen Royal Roads to continue her career. Natasha's compassionate nature will be welcomed by our students as she focuses mainly on our Conflict Analysis & Management and Human Security & Peacebuilding programs.

Come on by the house and say hello to them both!
