We were remiss in sending out welcomes to our newest program associate in the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Debbie Blakely, who started with us on Oct. 1. Debbie is supporting both the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies and the Doctor of Social Sciences programs. Debbie is a newcomer to Royal Roads, coming from the University of Victoria where she was the program administrator for a leadership program with students in sub-Saharan Africa. She can be found in the new Sherman Jen building in room 221 and her local is 4511. She looks forward to working with Royal Road’s inspiring students in pursuit of their passions.

We also are delighted to let you know that two members of our team were successful candidates in our most recent searches. Willem Van Doesburg was the successful candidate for term position of Interdisciplinary Studies Program Advisor and Janine Hughes was the successful candidate for the full-time position of Theses and Dissertation Coordinator. Janine will replace Patti Auger, who has retired from Royal Roads. Both bring experience and enthusiasm to their new roles. Willem and Janine will be moving to Millward 306A and B in the near future, but can still be found at the Sherman Jen Building.

If you are ever not sure who you need to connect with in the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, please email the team and we’ll make sure your inquiry gets to the right place.
