Thank you for a crucial conversation
Thank you for joining in the discussion and brainstorming in person and online at our third Campus Conversation this year, where we focused on our response as an institution and learning community to the climate crisis. More than 200 of you joined us on the Quarterdeck and Livestream for this crucial conversation.
I appreciated your enthusiasm, determination and hope as we launched the beginning of our new sustainability plan that will define the next phase of work in this area. I want this to be a plan that all of us at Royal Roads own and champion.
I want to especially thank Prof. Robin Cox, Assist Prof. Hilary Leighton, Nigel Deans and their colleagues at the ResiliencebyDesign Research Innovation Lab, along with Vice-President, Communications and Advancement Katharine Harrold, for facilitating our conversation.
In the next few months you will be hearing about how you can get involved to help shape sustainability and adaptation planning for our university going forward. We want to hear your ideas, input and feedback as we create this strategy.
The task ahead is one we must embrace together. I know all of us are up to the challenge.
Thank you, again, for your participation and leadership.
