Travelling artists embrace RRU scenery

On June 15, International Collaboration and Development hosted 14 travelling artists on campus. The artists were scattered around the castle and gardens with small sketch pads and were drawing upon the majestic Royal Roads campus for artistic inspiration. Staff members from the Communication and Advancement team had the opportunity to meet some of the artists and were spellbound by the beautiful and highly detailed images the artists had created of other locations throughout Victoria. Of interest, was a painting of Craigdarroch Castle which was designed by the same architect as Hatley Castle.  Once the artists’ book is published Royal Roads will request copies to share with our community.
