Every five years RRU Operations does a risk assessment of campus trees, identifying those that are encroaching or contacting the hydro wires. This year, the RRU Arborist also identified 3 hazardous trees for removal. Beginning June 25th to July 3rd, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. tree trimming and removal will occur on College Drvie by the Cedar building, on University Drive south of the Rec Centre, near the Operations building (7B), and between Sneq' wa e'lun and House 14. You can expect short traffic delays while the work is underway.

There will be one temporary road closure, on Monday, June 29th Serpentine Road will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Traffic will be rerouted south on University Drive by the Rec Centre and Neptune Way will be open to vehicles, for those travelling by the Castle. Barriers and directional assistance will be in place during this time.

We are committed to respectful stewardship of the campus. We thank the Royal Roads community for your deep caring for this place. Please contact Caroline Aked or Aaron Segall if you have any further questions or concerns.
