United Way: What matters to you?

Sophia Palahicky

At our United Way meeting this week, campaign volunteers openly shared some of the charities and causes that are close to our hearts. This inspired the theme for this week’s article. We want to know, what matters to you?

Did you know that your United Way contribution can be targeted to specific registered charities? Does your heart belong to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)? Does your heart belong to the Missing Children Society of Canada? Does your heart belong to Women’s Shelters Canada? Or perhaps you want to donate specifically to a Royal Roads University student award?

Make your targeted donation today and feel free to email us if you need help with this. Also, feel free to check out our activities and events.

We are so very excited about the support we have received thus far. We have a 24 per cent participation rate in the campaign to-date. Your donation today will help this important work as we demonstrate care for our communities. The theme for the campaign is “Share your local love.” I believe this means be present, be counted and support what really matters to you!
