The Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies (CTET) is pleased to offer the sixth session of the Pedagogical Values Series on January 28, 2021, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST). The session will take place online via Collaborate Ultra.  Dr. Geo Takach from our School of Communication and Culture will share a brief exploration of impactful and reflective learning under the TRANSFORMATIONAL value in our LTRM.  Geo will showcase strategies for active learning through arts-based methods of inquiry.  Please visit the Pedagogical Values Series page to learn more and register.

The Pedagogical Values Series, launched in January 2019, is an ongoing series of short sessions exploring the pedagogical values that form the foundation of the RRU Learning, Teaching, and Research Model (LTRM), namely: applied and authentic, caring and community-based, and transformational.  Each one-hour session of the Pedagogical Values Series will feature a faculty member sharing about a pedagogical value that guides teaching practices.  Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss, reflect, and share back during a Q&A segment.  The topic of each session is unique and sessions are designed to stand-alone, so participants can choose to attend all sessions or individual sessions.  These micro-sessions will be delivered online via Collaborate Ultra until further notice.

We hope you can join these discussions! Register today.
