Upgrades to campus services continue
University Drive Roadwork
Upgrades to campus services on University Drive continues. The detour to P3 has been removed at this time, while alternating traffic at the bottom of campus continues. Flaggers are in place to assist with traffic flow. Please watch for construction trucks and flaggers.
All staff, students and visitors to campus are reminded to obey the posted speed limits and watch for flag people who may be directing traffic. Safe driving on campus is essential to everyone’s well being.
Installation of the new LIC generator pad between Nixon and LIC is expected to be complete in by the end of next week. Please travel with care between LIC, Nixon and Grant while this area is under construction.
West campus deferred maintenance
Work around the west campus continues, with upgrades to campus services (power, data, water, drainage, and lighting). Excavation of the old pool building is on track. Please be mindful of construction trucks and workers over the next few weeks.
Work on the expansion of P7 continues.
Work has begun to repair and replace damaged sections of the roads and parking areas on campus. This week Cedar East parking lot was resurfaced.
As part of the LIC early adopters migration to the upgraded network on May 16, 2019, the Guest Services Desk and Campus Store were included. The project team and key stakeholders are in the process of finalizing the implementation plan. Please stay tuned for further updates.
