Volunteer to be a BCom mini case comp judge
Do you like Dragon's Den? Would you like to try your hand at being a dragon/judge?
The BCom program is looking for a few individuals who would be interested in volunteering as a judge for the BCom Mini-Case Competition on Jan. 6 and 7, 2016. This competition involves current, on-campus Bachelor of Commerce students who have completed approximately one-quarter of their degree program.
We are looking for judges to volunteer for either one or both days of the competition, (January 6 & 7), from 12:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. Volunteers will join a panel of judges to review and assess team case presentations. All presentations are a maximum of twenty minutes in length, followed by a Q&A period.
All judges receive a copy of the case in advance of the competition, so that they may familiarize themselves with the case content. On the day of the competition, there is a 30-minute pre-competition judge’s training session (12:15 - 12:45 p.m.). During this training, judges will receive an overview of the competition rules as well as any necessary administrative logistics about the judging process. This is also an opportunity for judges to meet one another, and for general questions to be shared and discussed within a group setting.
Please note, you do not need to have thorough knowledge of the subject matter of the case, you simply need to be able to ask good, thought-provoking questions, and provide constructive feedback.
If you are able to join us for one or both of the above-listed judging times, we would be ever so grateful. Please send your RSVP by email to Samantha Wood.
