Waste audit volunteers needed
Do you consider yourself to be eco-friendly? Do you find yourself wondering what you could do to help reduce the environmental impact at RRU? Are you interested in knowing the amount and type of waste produced on campus?
If you answered ‘yes’ then come on out to support the Office of Sustainability’s waste audit! Starting on Thursday, April 14, the Office of Sustainability will be conducting a waste audit for RRU. Waste will be sorted each Thursday for eight weeks – the last one on June 2. Volunteers are needed to help with the analysis and data collection. The sorting station will be under the tent up at building 7B, by the waste bins. If you care about the environment, reducing the amount of waste created on campus and interested in receiving a free gift card, then this is the opportunity for you! Gloves, masks and fashionable protective clothing will be provided.
If interested, contact Roberto Melfi or show up at building 7B on Thursdays. Hours will be 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14 to Thursday, June 2.
Thank you for your support on this important initiative on campus!
