Welcome Maria Bremner, Manager of Resilience!

As the Royal Roads community is aware, the Operations and Resilience portfolio has been transitioning through a number of changes over the last year. Most recently we have been focused on staffing of the new positions in the team. We are pleased to welcome Maria Bremner to Royal Roads as our new Manager of Resilience.

Maria joins Royal Roads from Camosun College where she was Manager of Sustainability, Parking and Transportation. Prior to that, Maria developed her career in the environmental sector working in both public and not-for-profit organizations.

Maria’s understanding of post-secondary and the depth of her experience in sustainability, as well as parking and transportation, strengthens our team.  One of the key initiatives she will be working on with us over the coming year will be renewal of the university’s sustainability plan. Her new Royal Roads responsibilities will also include support of the university’s culture of resilience, with a focus on the emergency planning and preparedness file and associated risks.

Maria is setting up her office in the CEDAR loft (T. 250 391 2600, ext. 4116) and over the coming weeks, she will be out an about on campus for introductions as she orients herself to Royal Roads. Please join us in welcoming Maria to the community!
