Writing tip: Search WriteAnswers for APA Q&A
The Writing Centre introduced WriteAnswers at the beginning of this year, and since then, members of the RRU community have been using the tool to search for answers to their writing questions and to contact the Writing Centre. The tool isn't only intended for students; RRU faculty and staff are also welcome to use WriteAnswers, and if you're searching for answers to APA questions, you're likely to find the information you need because the knowledge base has numerous APA-related items.
Based on the information you provide in the search field, WriteAnswers will automatically provide suggestions of specific questions and answers, but you can also see what information is already available on a specific topic or view the most recent or popular answers.
As of June 23, 2014, the two most popular questions on WriteAnswers are "How should I cite my personalized MBTI report in APA style?" and "How to reference municipal by-laws in APA style?". If you'd like to see the answers to those questions, please search WriteAnswers. Then, type your keyword (e.g., MBTI or by-laws) in the search field. WriteAnswers will do the rest! WriteAnswers is also available on most of the Writing Centre website pages: If you see a blue "Ask us" button, that's WriteAnswers at work.
We hope you'll be able to find the information you need, but if you cannot find the answer to your question, clicking on the "Ask us" button will take you to the WriteAnswers contact form where you can submit your question privately to the Writing Centre. All you need to do is fill in your contact information and click on "Submit your question." We will respond privately to you within three business days, though our typical response time is within 24 hours.
We hope you'll find WriteAnswers a useful tool, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us!
