Could there be risks associated with increased use of digital communication due to the pandemic? Cultural ecologist and philosopher Dr. David Abram will address this question as the lecturer for Royal Roads University’s 16th Annual Bateman Lecture, Wednesday, Aug. 5 on Zoom.
In his talk, Zoomed Out: Technology, Animism, and the Wild Otherness of the Real, Abram will explore whether increased reliance on digital communication poses risk to furthering the causes of justice and the “necessary work of cultural metamorphosis”.
