As a post-secondary student, taking care of your health and wellness doesn’t always make it to the top of the priority list. We understand that studying while balancing a plethora of other responsibilities (and getting through a global pandemic!) is no easy feat.
In order to provide some support to our student community and in acknowledgment of Mental Health Week, our Counselling & Learning Strategy Team will host a spring workshop series (online) to build community and explore strategies for developing personal, professional, and academic resilience.
Our "Mindfulness for Student Life" workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (PDT).
This workshop will offer:
An overview of how mindfulness can enhance wellbeing and focus;
Introduction to mindfulness strategies and exercises – including some practice;
Information on how to develop a healthy mindfulness practice.
